Eric Meyer, M.D.

Eric Meyer

Eric Meyer's passion for the outdoors evolved during his teenage years while backpacking and climbing in the wilderness of Montana. Now as a physician, Dr. Meyer's love for mountaineering continues: he now incorporates his profession as an anesthesiologist to study the effects of cold weather and altitude on the respiratory system. Eric has extensive experience climbing in North and South America as well as in the Himalayas where he reached to summit of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest, in 2004. Eric is also experienced in the cross-country ski industry where he works with Olympic athletes and volunteers for the U.S. Nordic Combined Ski Team. Click here to learn more about Dr. Meyer's recent  2008 K2 Expedition where he was involved in a courageous rescue operation.
